Skin Care
What is involved with a facial?
A facial is a treatment for the skin on the face, neck and chest areas, involving cleansing, exfolliation, mask, moisturizer and optional extractions. Extractions are a technique to loosen the pores and squeeze out any buildup. The Fingers of the technician are used and sometimes a tool is used.
How long before an event should I have a facial?
Do to the nature of the treatment, the skin may have redness or even breakout from bringing congestion to the surface. It is best to leave 3 days to a week before any event.
Can I be waxed if I'm currently using Retin-A, Retinol, or any other vitamin A based products?
No, unfortunately, those types of products are systemic, meaning they effect the whole body, rather than a localized treatment area. These types of products tend to thin the skin, making it dangerous to use hot wax.
What kind of wax do you use?
For the body, we use a cream wax with traditional muslin strips. For more sensitive areas such as eyebrows, underarms and bikini area a brazillian hard wax is used.
What is involved in a Brazillian/Boyzillian Wax?
The Brazillian/Boyzillian wax, removes the hair from the genital and anal areas. We start by having you client on their knees and elbows on top of a massage table. The rear end is waxed, including the taint. Then the client turns over onto their back, with legs spread, and the remainder of the hair is removed. Most people choose to leave some hair above the pubic area.
